Connecting outboard to boat??how?

What do you need to connect an outboard to a boat its a 175 engine, for example, steering cables, fuel , electrics , steering will i need a professional ect

A checklist would be realy good

  1. It is complex, you will need the correct steering cable,  fuel cable to tank and electrical hook up to motor back to fuse box and to each component and battery. If you don't do this part correctly , you will have a mess.

    I would have a mechanic do the power hookup, just for warranty sake


  2. i suggest you visit a local dealer. much to complex to advose here.

  3. The other answers are correct. Where do you live?  It Would be easier to get someone to do it for you, you can get a mech to do it on the side, and it would save you alot of headache. It is not that hard if you what to do, but if you are asking on here then I would suggest hiring someone to do it, they could get it done in a day, barring no major problems/obstacles.
