Connecting to the internet?

I now have both a desktop and a laptop. My desktop is connected to the internet via a cable modem. I would like to know if I can use this same cable modem to connect internet using my laptop? If so how can I do it?

  2. Its simple buy one Ethernet switch cabled or wireless. put cable into it and briged it to both computers.

  3. Get a DSL Wireless Router: connect your modem to the router then from your router to your Desktop.

    Your laptop needs to have either an integral wireless adapter or you can get a USB wireless dongle
