Is it possible. I'm worried I'll have the same channel on both tv's.

  1. I know you asked about directv but the answers are about dish network.  This is my experience:  DISH network has receivers that allow for dual room viewing, meaning one receiver can be used view 2 separate tvs in 2 separate rooms if you so desire.  Only one can be HD or DVR however.

I canceled directv a few months ago so this may have changed... if not... directv receivers only transmit to one tv.  I tried to shop for a dual signal receiver while I was with directv to save the extra $5 + taxes but it simply wasn't available.

DISH network - YES, it is possible with a the dual signal receiver

Directv - NO, not at all

  2. yea my tv and our living room tv both work ont the sam dvr but not same tv show. i can record a show in my room when the living room has a show recording at the same time. just ask dish Network to gelp you

  3. techniclly if they figure this out u can be in alot of trouble

  4. they make recievers that allow reception on two different tv's from  1 box, we have a combo for each bedroom and there is no problem,,

  5. Try using a cable splitter after the receiver, before the t.v..
