Hi. I have been using wireless connection for about 2 years. It stayed at 54 Mbps all the time ( well mostly ) but then it decreases down to 48, to 36, to 11, and sometimes 1 Mbps. And my router is upstairs in my bro's room. How can I make it stay to 54 Mbps or 48 Mbps?

  1. this depends,

-after a long time, your hardware will start to show defects and problems.

-this might be because there has been a growth in amount of devices connecting to your router, make sure you have a WEP or WPA security key on your wireless network so un-wanted people cannot connect to your router

-if your router starts to act up, try disconnecting the power from it for 20 seconds than plugging it back in, sometimes hardware just needs a restart for a little break.
