Hey i just bought this system from car audio sec

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/6671.html

anywhooo i am going to atempt to wire it myself, i at first was going to get i professionally fitted but was told its not hard 2 do it urself and its better than spending £75 which was what i was quoted

So anyway i did my reasearch over the last 2 weeks getting the knowledge of how to install it but i have one problem. I know where all the wires should be connected ect but im unsure of how to connect them because you have different types of connections given in the wiring kit.

  1. yea so pretty much what they mean is take out the fuse so u dont shock yourself when your trying to install your subs.  but anyway u run your battery cable from the battery to the amp. make sure you wire loom the wire that runs under the hood. also keep the cable away from any belts of course. with the fuse, you can cut the power cable in half no more than 8 inches away from where the cable starts. the fuse prevents your power cable from grounding out and potentially starting a fire.. [also be sure to use ring terminals when connecting to the battery which i didnt see in the picture u can get then at any car audio store or ccity or best buy]

but any way then the rca and the turn on lead run from the back of the radio. you have to tap into the blue wire with the white stripe on it. solder and tape then run to the REM input on the amp and the rca to the rca inputs on the amp**be sure to use the spade terminals on the amp but you dont have to and on some amps you cant even do it. then with

the ground, you can ground it out on any metal part of your vechicle. for a better connection use sandpaper to strip off the paint and get it jus straight metal and remember to use a ring terminal. then after that all u do is run speaker wire from the amp to the box and your done!

  2. um about the fuse thing i couldnt tell you i have never seen that before that blue cone thing is lilke a wire cape it  jsut covers bare connections if u tape your things up good you wont need them and all those different metal peices the two prong ones connect to the amp connections the other metal ones connect to the speaker connections and just the regular red things are wire to wire connetions you put a wire in each end till it stops then crimp it shut plyers will do it jsut fine. but another thing be careful legacy speakers are not that great and will blows if you try to max them out i blew a 700 watt legacy with a 200 watt amp but who knows jsut dont push it too hard
