Connection problems?

I have a bt hub router,i have my main computer linked to it and can use the internet with no problem but for some reason my other two computers which have NETGEAR wg111t adapters on have stopped picking up the bt hub all the lights are flashing i have checked most things and can not find out whats wrong,the internet icon is on both machines is on but it has got a little yellow dot going on and off as it trys to connect,but it will not connect to the my main machine i am not getting anyware !!!! i sure my main computer for some reason is not allowing any other computers to access it,can anyone help please.

  1. it sounds like your main pc has a firewall running, if its vista try looking around the control panel for security settings, then tell the firewall to let the other pcs on the net.

    silly question, are the pcs all in the same network, that might be the problem to. im not to sure about vista as i don't use windows  at all myself, anyway try looking at that, and if your still baffled e-mail me. later dude


  2. If the main PC is connected to the router by a cable then this will connect to the router without wireless. The other 2 computers do not normally connect through the main PC they receive their connection direct from the router

    It sounds as though the router has a fault stopping the wireless broadcast

    In the first instance try resetting the router, pulling the power for 30s and then letting the router reboot. If no joy you will have to login in to the router and reset the wireless settings. If you are unsure how to do this phone BT helpline
