Connections in Sydney airport? Need to go through immigration?

I'm catching a flight into Sydney airport from NZ, arriving at 8am, then catching a flight out to Beijing at 10.10am. I belive both myself and my baggage will be through checked, so I'll have my next boarding pass. Do I need to pass through immigation in order to get to the departure area, through immigration again and to my departure gate, or am I able to go directly from exiting the plane to my next gate?

Since you wont be leaving the airport you wont be checked.. You will be checked when you get into china though..

You just need your boarding pass and your passport..
