Connections unsure if Lightening Pearl will compete in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas on 6th May, 2012
Lightening Pearl, daughter of Marju, out of mare Jioconda, is likely to travel to Newmarket, but her connections have not decided whether she will compete in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas, which is scheduled to take place on 6th May,
2012.
Under the ownership of Pearl Bloodstock Ltd is exceeded to deliver an outstanding race if she competes in this mega event. 

David Redvers, who is the racing manager for the owners told the press that:

"She will almost certainly travel, unless it absolutely buckets it down with rain. I'd imagine it will be Saturday before we make a decision on whether we run or not."
The manager repeatedly emphasised on the surface of the track, as he elaborated that the runner will be scratched if the ground becomes worse from good to soft.

It will be very difficult for the young filly to start her season, with a difficult race on soft ground.
Redvers spoke of the form of the three-year-old filly who is trained by G. M. Lyons.

He stated that she is in magnificent form and truly shine if the track suits her. Along with this, he stated that:

"Newmarket is a track that drains well, so let's hope for a dry few days and that should give us a fighting chance of running on Sunday."
Whelped on 15th February, 2009, the runner landed a terrific victory over Sunday Times by ½ a length in the Jaguar Cars Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket on 24th September, 2011.
Renowned jockey Joseph O’Brien is delighted with the form of his ride, Maybe, who is trained by A.P. O'Brien for owners, M.Tabor, D. Smith and Mrs. John Magnier.

About her form and previous performed, the jockey was immensely pleased as he stated that:  
"She was flawless last year, five out of five. She never looked like getting beaten in any of her races, so hopefully she can run a nice race.”
The daughter of Galileo, out of mare Sumora, downed an impressive victory in the Chesham Stakes at Ascot, where she defeated, Fort Bastion, by 2 ¼ lengths.
