can you give me information on connective tissue proper and also diseases related to it?i need it for the project.

Connective tissue proper is composed of matrix, cellular elements and fibres.

The Matrix is the ground substance, Cellular elements are various kinds of cells, and the fibres are various kinds of fibres. The best example is Areolar Tissue. This tissue consists of ground substance or matrix made of various substances like hylouronic acid. In the matrix or ground substance are found different kinds of cells like mast cells, plasma cells, fibroblasts, macrophages etc. The fibres are unbranched tough white collagen fibres and thin elastic fibres.

The other types of connective tissue are White fibrous tissue, Tendons, Ligaments, Adipose tissue ,Reticulate tissue etc.

The connective tissue may get bacterial, viral infections as other body parts get.
