www.allbreedpedigree.com has lots of info on horses. You can see their pedigrees back to the 1700s, some have pictures, and it's a really fun website to fiddle around with.

no sorry, have you tried google. You can type in their names and see what comes up. It they are champions, they should have some backround history along with offspring.
