  1. Current technology requires large size solar panels which can be eyesores and take up a lot of space.

Batteries are needed to store power for use when the sunlight is not available. This creates major problems such as toxic waste if lead acid batteries are used, or safety issues if LION (lithium-ion) batteries are used.

Solar power is not able to keep up with the demands of a dynamic power grid, particularly in highly populated areas where power demands fluctuate. In less populated areas, when the batteries run out power will simply go away. Not cool, especially in an emergency.

    Solar power is weather dependant.

  2. With present photo voltaic cells,it is costly

Can not be stored for night in large amount

cloudy days are ahead no power

we have to develop heat storage devices than batteries

  3. what happens like in Seattle where you don't have sun light for months at a time! or at the poles where you have 3-4 months of darkness!!
