Question:

Consequences Late Traffic Ticket?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

I live in Seattle and I got a traffic ticket for inattentiveness or something like that. Anyway, I thought my parents had sent in the ticket and turns out nothing happened with it. So it's two weeks late now, does anyone know what the consequences will be? Fines and such? If I was to pay it tomorrow will I have to go in to court or anything like that?

Thanks.

  1. You need to call the court and see what the date to go was, your ticket should have had that information, if you were to show up for court. If you were to pay a fine it would have also had that information which you should have had enough attentiveness to write down o at least listen to the officer who gave it to you.

Either you will pay a fine or if it is past due you might have a warrant. All depends on what the ticket stated

  2. In Kentucky, the court will issue a bench warrent for unpaid citations. It will not matter to them if you pay it tomorrow, because it is outstanding. You  will probably have to show up to court and pay a fee and court costs again with the cost of the initial ticket. You might even get more points against your license for failure to pay.
