Question:

Conservative boyfriend help...?

I'm 16, and my boyfriend and I have been dating for the past three months. He is my first boyfriend, and I am his first girlfriend. He is EXTREMELY sweet to me, but he can be shy when I am around. At school, he really isn't shy. We hug and hold hands occasionally, but we have never kissed. I think he just doesn't want to "violate" me, and he is very conservative. I think he may be a bit intimidated, as we both are very smart, but he now realizes that a girl can be as smart as him. I don't know if he is just uncomfortable with this relationship, or if he is happy about it... I know that I am happy about it, and that he is a rare, sweet, caring guy. Any advice or thoughts on this topic would be helpful. Thanks!

  1. Great he's perfect for a traditional gal like you.

  2. I think that you should appreciate how much he is trying to respect you. If you want to kiss and whatnot in public, then pick a good moment to give him a peck on the cheek or something simple like that when your around your friends. If he talks to you about it, or if he squirms, then just don't do it again. You want to be careful not to push him away, some people just don't like PDA (my husband included), so you have to be respectful of that.
