Conservatives: Should McCain let baseless, sexist smears set his course?

Should she not serve as vice president because her daughter is pregnant? Or her husband had a DWI 20 years ago? Or her sister married a state trooper, who shocked his 11-year-old son with a Tazer, leading relatives and friends to think he should be fired? Or because she exercised her legal right to fire the head of the State Police when he saw no reason to fire the trooper?

Isn’t Palin is under attack because she is such a good choice?

  1. The media thought they should take the liberty and make a big deal about her daughter getting pregnant! Who really cares? This isn't even a issue! The media should shut the h**l up!

  5. When the truth is known her actions become laudable.

    As opposed to Obama 20 years ago doing crack. His mother preggers with him at 18 & unmarried, or (tired of hearing it yet?) going to a racist church for 20 years. Hmmm...started at the church about the same time he did crack with Ayers...could be another scoop! Call Chris Matthews!  Tell him we got another leg-tingler for him!  

  6. She has some actions as a Goverment of Alaska to explain. For me is a serios issue the fire of the State Police because shows intolerance in public administration and that is more of the same that we have in the past 8 years.  

  7. Let me assure you, this incident regarding Sarah Palin is merely the tip of the iceberg.

    There will be more skeletons in the closet and let me tell you, it's only because McCain did not vet Palin enough. It isn't her fault.

    Or her family's.

    It's McCain's inexperience and bad decision making skills.

    He is unsuitable as the President.


  8. Kinda hard when major media like MSNBC and CNN are in the tank for Obama. Five hours every night of cheering for Obama and attacking McCain and Palin. Our news media is useless.

    EDIT: I don't know what the thumbs down are for. Every one of you knows that this is true. The Media made Obama. If not for them Hillary would be the Dem's nominee.

    No, McCain should not let these baseless sexist smears from the 'faux media' set his course in any way.  If the smearers get loud enough, he can answer them with facts and by laying out his plans, just like Obama did when people spread the lies about not taking the pledge, being a terrorist, supporting universal single-source government paid healthcare, being reared a Muslim, and being a socialist.  And as long as they stay on the crackpot lunatic fringe, McCain and Palin don't even need to dignify these attacks with an answer.  

    Something I was wondering after hearing McCain's quote on the subject.  Are we, the users of Y!A and other websites, the faux media he was talking about?

  13. Obama and his campaign knows this is the end of the road for them and they are gonna drag out and nit pick everything in her life. Its all they have. Obama cant handle the fact that a woman has more experience than he does.

  14. Why shouldn't she serve as VP. It was OK for President Clinton to get BJ's in the White House and lie about having s*x. There is no moral left in this country. We expect our children to respect elders and to learn right from wrong because they are important people. Just like high paying ball players that don't set good examples to our children, and yet they continue to keep their jobs when faced with wrong doing. So why is our government any different?

    When a woman or minority isn't a "victim" the Dems have no use for them.

  19. Your initial premise is correct.  McCain can't let the partisan media influence his choices.

    But your conclusion is incorrect.  Palin is under attack because she was a very weak pick.  Of course anybody he picked would be attacked, because that's who the media are.  But picking a nobody (I never heard of her before she was announced) with such a thin resume was a mistake.

  20. It's not her showbilly family that worries thinking voters. It is not her total lack of national or foreign policy experience.  It is that she supports the most conservative agenda including creationism teaching in public schools; she supports only abstinence-only s*x education and we can see how well that worked; taking away a woman’s right to control her own reproductive health; opposing all GLBT relationships, including marriage and civil unions.  She shoots AK47s in Iraq and thinks that theses guns should be allowed in the streets of America.  

    Her political “management” experience comes from being mayor of a small (population 9000) town in Alaska and then being governor for 18 months of a state with only 640,000 residents (about the size of Baltimore, Maryland), all of whom receive an annual oil and gas dividend payment.

    The smears are neither baseless or sexist. She is scary!!!

  24. She abused the office of Governor in pressuring Wooten's boss to fire him. The purpose was to make him unemployed during the ongoing custody battle with Palen's sister.

    McCain is now attempting to interfere with justice by stalling the investigation into her misconduct.

    There are a lot more irregularities during her brief term as governor.

    She claimed to have opposed federal funding for the bridge to nowhere. It turns out that was a lie.

    I could go on for pages, but that should be enough to wake you up if you are not as dishonest as she is.
