Well, alot of online internet technical support has been farmed out to India. I imagine that solves the problem of service costs. Apparently medical diagnostics is easier and/or cheaper to accomplish by sending the medical information  to India and have the diagnostics performed there.  Importing condoms to the United States from Asia is another "specific" area where technolology solves problems.

I "considered (?)" 3 in my scenario, not 2. Sorry.

Medical care and transportation.

I'm not sure what you mean by the scientific and technological

measure,and probably wouldn't be able to give you a complete answer if I was. I can say that advances in medical

technology would obviously have benefits such as curing

diseases,lengthening life spans,improving the average human's physical condition.

As for transportation,advanced technology could result in the mass production of automobiles not dependent on gasoline

but instead on an alternate energy source that wouldn't be

harmful to the environment.This would be even better than

improved medical care,as it would be a giant step towards

countering the effects of global warming. Of course,it may very well be too late for that but it would be worth the effort.
