Considering colored contacts?

Question

I'm thinking about getting colored contacts, but I have very dark brown eyes and astigmatism in both eyes, so my choices are limited. I'm fair-skinned and have dark brown/black hair. I think I'd like green, or maybe hazel/honey; however, I'm concerned that they will look really fake. Had blue contacts as a teen and eventually realized how silly they looked. I don't want to make that mistake again! Any recommendations?

try some more colours on. the honey wouldn't look too bad i think. i've got the same problem as you too, though and i went for a hazelly colour

well my hair is black and my eyes are hazel green u can try that yeah if u had blue they would look kin of fake

freshlook are the worlds best coloured lenses anyways so they are always a good choice. you are limited to colours with your astigmatism though as you want to make sure they are still going to be comfortable. your optometrist should be able to give you a try so you can see what they look like before you buy them.

be happy with who you are.  colored contacts always look bad in my opinion.  just be natural.

Green or hazel would suit you, but I personally say think twice about getting contacts just for fashion reasons.  I know people who have contacts for their sight, their a real pain!  You'd be amazed how good eye makeup can really make your eyes stand out.

well i just got colored contacts. i have brown skin and dark hair. my eyes are normally dark brown/black, and green looks really good. hope that helps!!

ummm actually i belive the one that looks more "Fake" is probably the brown bright ones... but the green and blue ones look actually quite natural with me... I have brown eyes too. black hair...umm theyd look fine i belive. Dont be scared to try a crazy color. ; )

If you don't at least try colored contacts, you might get called a racist.

with the freshlook colorblend toric, you will be limited to either hazel (or is it honey), green, blue, or grey.  I think green would look good.  hazel tends to look fake on dark brown eyes. grey works sometimes.  you can have them let you try the colors before you buy them.

How long ago did you have blue? They continue to make improvements to them. Green might work if its not bright green, ti could blend in with ur brown. Did you ask bout trying colors out first? Call around, some places might let you try them first.

dont get a light color like green or blue.

it makes it look way to fake, and believe it or not, its not that attractive to guys, i asked ahahah.
