Question:

Considering getting Circumcised?

In the past few years i have had about 3-4 urinary tract infections, including a urethral stricture, and more recently i acquired epididymitis (infection in the testicular area)

From what i have researched getting circumcised now at my age, 26, would help to prevent future infections, and more importantly circumcised males have a significantly reduced chance of getting epididymitis, an infection which can lead to sterility.

My question is what is everyones opinion? Im not concerned about the pain involved, i just spent 2 months dealing with the epididymitis, which was the worst pain i have ever felt, and i had to abstain from s*x the whole time.

I have had one doctor agree that it would be a good idea to get it done, and another disagree. Personally i can see the benefits, and would prefer the appearance of being circumcised.

The problem is that my Girlfriend says she doesnt want me to have it done. She says she doesnt want me to go through the pain, but at the same time says that she 100% plans to Circumcise her (our) future children, and since she is germ freak/ clean freak, she wont give me oral s*x since im uncircumsized.

Anyway i'd like to get it done, but she is saying no, when it seems she is more inclined towards Circumcising.

Let me know

  1. Get it done.  You will be happier for it.  I dont know what pain she is talking about.  It is a relatively minor operation.  30min to 1 hour.  Local anesthetic, dissolving sutures.  anyway dont take my word for it.

here are the top two circumcisers in the USA

dr reed is also a plastic surgeon.

By the way, its ok to get cut for cosmetic reasons also. besides medical ones. As a couple of ladies just told you they like the helmets.

Remember.  dont get circumcised or not get circumcised for someone else.  Do it for yourself. Its your p***s, your comfort, your Decision. do it to please yourself and not anyone else.

    Helmets rule.

  2. Get it done.. trust me girls prefer it!!

  3. I would suggest to have it done. If not, you will continue to have these infections and they are not fun.. I lived with uti's since i was a child and it's very painful for a woman much less, a man. Your girlfriend is worried about your pain after surgery. Nice of her but, she needs to understand the pain you have already been through with this already. I'm not trying to be rude but, you make your decesion.. It is your p***s and you've felt enough pain in the past. I have heard the surgery (or after) is painful but.. I'd rather hurt for the last time by having the surgery than continuing to get infections and staying in pain over and over again. Good luck in whatever you choose. Just remember, you are the one who knows how painful the infections are, nobody else. Go with your heart!!
