Considering girls in Manson clan were brainwashed, should any renouncing their crimes, be paroled?

  1. maybe if they actually proved that they were brainwashed and it wasnt just an excuse


  2. If they had truly been brainwashed they would recover after being removed from the noxious influence.  

    A well known example was Patricia Hearst.  She was kidnapped and brainwashed very brutally until she participated in a bank robbery.  After being removed from the SLA, she returned to normal.  That is why she was ultimately pardoned.  

    I understand that at least some of the "Manson girls" worked hard to maintain their Manson Family identity; I don't see any reason to parole them.  Even if they eventually renounce their crimes (which would be a good thing), the fact remains that they chose to do what they did.  They should stay in prison.

  3. Considering the horrendous nature of the crimes they participated in, I don't think they should ever be paroled.  Their victims don't have a chance at life, so neither should they.  It's bad enough that us taxpayers have had to pay to feed and clothe them all this time.  I'm sorry but "brainwashing" isn't an excuse.
