Yes i know university is along way off for me (14 years old) but, i know i will be going to university due to my background and how able student i am. My family is orignaly from Georgia and New York but my grandparents and dad moved to the U.K. and i have been to the U.S.A many times on long visits, mainly in Georgia and much of the NE(NYC, Boston). I have around £20,000 in a bank account set for my future so financialy i am able to study abroad. I would like to study somewere in New England most likely Boston. Could you recomend any other cities which have good universities and have a cold climate in winter and hot climate in summer? Were do i start to make my move to the USA should i start planning now. Could you recommend some sites i could find out about Visas(i am 1/2 USA but born in Wales)(ect) and universities. Thanks Richie

  1. Read the international student guide here:

    http://www.universitylanguage.com

It explains how to find the right US university for you, what you need to do to apply and what to expect when you get here.

I went to school at Ohio State University in Columbus-- it has all four seasons and lots of international students.

  2. You are crazy...sorry but a British degree is worth much more than an American one...better to carry out further studies such as Masters in US.

  3. I disagree, American degrees are still the best.  There maybe a few UK schools that are better, but overall you can't go wrong with an American degree.  The midwest will give you the four seasons.  University of Wisconsin-Madison, University Michigan at Ann Arbor are great public universities that will give you a top notch educational and social experience.  People will know these degrees worldwide.
