Consistency crucial for Stacy Lee Bregman at South African Women’s Open 2012
Stacy Lee Bregman is all set for South African Women’s Open 2012.
Bregman has been a pro level golfer since December 2006. She is well known for her golf talent but the flip side is also very much visible. Her career is not as bright as many predicted when she turned pro.
What is missing from Bregman’s performance? Many say that it is a lack of consistency on Bregman’s part. She is a great golfer, but she has not produced a match winning performance so far.
With South African Women’s Open on the horizon, Bregman is planning to display a great performance. She has the determination and skills. It remains to be seen whether, she will deliver in the Selborne Park Golf Club.
This brings us to the next problem that Bregman will face in the tournament. She has never played on the course before and this puts her at a major disadvantage. Almost all her South African colleagues have played on the course.
Bregman is not troubled by this detail. She is very confident in her abilities and is willing to disregard the fact. She said, “This is the first time I am playing Selborne. I have no doubt that it will be a fantastic venue”.
Bregman has played in many high profile tournaments but failed to perform as per expected. Her best moment came in 2008 Turkish Ladies Open, when she tied for the second position. This was a high point of an otherwise mundane career.
Bregman’s strength lies in her conviction. She is a big believer in her abilities. This positive attitude has sustained her game despite the many setbacks she has faced throughout her career.
According to her, “I have a positive attitude towards the game and don't have a sense of entitlement. I work hard to get things”.
She is also a big dreamer. But like many dreamers, she is not content with just dreaming. She works hard at her game and focuses on her goal exclusively.
This attitude is reflected from her favourite quote: We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication and discipline.
