Conspiracy: gas prices & food prices are way up simply because of the stimulus check, and not the economy?

Just a conspiracy.... Bush accounces he's gonna give everyone $300.... then raises the prices of gas so he just takes it right back now that gas is $4.45 a gallon?

what are your thoughts on this?

cause, as I see it.

Bush says he wants to stimulate the economy.

He says he's gonna give out $300

Everyone raises their prices: gas, food, shipping, car related, etc......

now the $300 is almost worthless.

Was their anything stimulated other than inflation?

  1. Now your getting it. But its not a conspiracy.

  2. I don't think about things as ridiculous as this.

  3. Prices were going up whether we got a stimulus check or not. That was the reason we got them to help us even if it was just a little bit of help. It`s still better than nothing at all.If you don`t want your`s send it back or give it away. You know they really didn`t have to give you anything,

  4. I have often wondered if this stimulus check thing was bush's get out of jail card after he leaves office.  A like a fell good feeling with the people after he screwed us for 8 d**n years

  5. First off, the expected amount of the check for average taxpayers was $600, not $300.

Second off, Bush doesn't control gas prices.  In fact, Bush controls no prices.  The market and the economy does that.

The intent of the stimulus check was just that -- to stimulate the economy.  Money in motion (ie, people spending money) gives the economy a boost and actually increases tax revenues.

  6. I have carefully crafted the most intelligent possible response to your ill-informed rant of a question.

    No.

  7. Two problems with your theory.  One, there was no real stimulus at all, and two, Bush does not control gas prices.

  8. It's all a corporate puppet show you Bozo, you bought it hook line sinker and pole.

  9. If that is how you see it. See an eye doctor immediately. he may need to recommend you to a surgeon to remedy that cranial rectitus problem you have.

  10. Wrong; anyway you cut it, more money for people is better.

  11. OPEC and other oil producing countries are very interested in this election. If a republican gets in, they know it's going to be more efforts in the Middle East to continue trying to democratize it and go after terrorists. They don't want that.

So they cut production knowing that the mainstream American media will blame Bush for the increase, which encourages the numb-nut uneducated voter to vote for Obama. Now, with Obama at the helm, they know he is in their pocket, because Obama has said so in his book "The Audacity of Hope" paraphrasing, when push comes to shove and the political climate turns for the worse, he'll back his Muslim counterparts. Read his books. It's Mein Kampf all over again. The appeasers are interested in the empty eloquence of a man with a dangerous agenda. He's telling us what he intends to do, and only half the country is aware of it, and he's getting a free ride and propped up by the mainstream media, the consummate propaganda machine for the radical left.

  12. Bush did not "give" anyone $300.

That is/was your own tax money that you had paid.  It amounts to a "Tax refund".

    Your statements are incoherent.

OPEC controls oil prices, not Bush or any president.

  13. Bob Barr for president..the only vote a true Republican can make
