Constant worrying.. help!?

This year, I've had to take my GSCE's, had alot of pressure and stress from home and family, and feel like i've always got to try hard with my friends to keep them. Perhaps it's because of these factors that i'm always worrying. I wake up and feel sick with worry over the most stupid and pointless things, and can't stop worrying 'till i fall asleep that night. It's ruining my life and i don't want to worry anymore.

thanks.

  1. I know how you feel. Every night I have nightmares and Im going through depression. The thing that helps me is getting out of the house. Putting my favourite singer delta goodrem on and jsut being myself. I think you need to get your family and your friends and talk to them. You will feel better you have gotten it off your chest! Remind yourself WHY are you worrying? and then think of some good things. Sure, its hard to think of good things when youre sad. But even things that youre dream coming true! if none of these things help. Please seek help from a doctor.

  2. You need to get out in the fresh air and go for a walk to take your mind off things. Your doctor may be able to help you if you book an appointment.

  3. If you have to work to keep your friends then there really not friends. You also have to realize that there are many things out of your control. Only work on things that you can have a effect on and forget about the rest.

  4. see this is why exams are bullshit but theres nothing an oz of weed cant sort out ey! ;)

  5. try doing lots of activities to fill up your day like swimming, going bowling etc

  6. concentrate on this moment ,not the future not the past stay in this moment as that is really all there is ,,,so the rest is senseless as no other time exist except for now ,>)

  7. omg i was in the exact same situation this year and it exhausts you. ive got something called general anxiety disorder and it sounds liek you do to.

firstly remember that your friends woulnt be friends with you if they didnt liek the real you, and if they dont liek you then there not friends with you, there friends with the fake you. so just be yourself

however , i know thats really hard to do so you just need to keep saying it to yourself and each problem that you face in your daily life just think to yourself how small and insignificant it is to

    a - your life

    b- everyone elses life

    c- everyone elses problems

    d- the world

    e- this year

    f- time in general

    g-  the universe

whatever mistake you make and are worried of making wont go down in the history of the universe and it wont ruin your life...unless you let it

and its really annoying cos like, everyone eill probably tell you taht your been negative, but i know your not and its just sort of liek you think o the worst outcome of every situation even though you dont want to, i do aswell and theres no way of stopping it unless you go into therapy or w/e which i dont think you need to. so just keep lughing to yourself about how ridiculous those thoughts are, how there never goingto happen and how you just dont care

    it helps alot.

p.s good luck for thursday, if thats when you get your results, let me knoiw what you get! im terrafied too!

  8. You just need to lay back, watch the world go by and dont give a toss about anyone until number one is happy, you.

    Trust me, im 16.

I done exactly that and im fine

  9. See your doctor, he might be able to give you something for it.

But try to solve the problem yourself first. Try meditation. Count to 10 everytime you feel worried over something, take deep breaths and say, I'm going to be fine.

Sing along to the radio or just sing a song in your head to distract you from it.

There's loads you can try... different things will work for different people.

  10. Stress is really bad for your body. You will notice that even while you try and sleep you will be thinking of all your problems and playing them thru in your head.

Go to that website and specifically look at magnesium, calcium, iron and zinc. You will also find that if you help your adrenal system by eating healthy foods and exercising moderately that you will feel better faster.

  11. Well it's a long time since I was sixteen but I do remember thre turmoil that I went through in order to keep up with life at the time.  It's an age when you are moving from child into adulthood and that can be mighty difficult.  The good thing is that you recognise the problem although you don't have the wherewithal to deal with it at present. I used to simply say to myself .... 'Hey, I'm sixteen, hormones playing up, teenage dramas, trying to establish myself in life!' and yes, it can all get too much.  The best way to deal with this is to recognise the current trauma for what it is, part of growing up and things will get better. Teach yourself that and that is exactly what will happen. True acceptance of any situation is the best way to move forward and make tomorrow a better day.   All the best to you ...
