Constantly dreaming of someone else. Why?

For the past 1 1/2 years I've have dreaming about a man I used to date. Didn't work out because of distance, and a 1 1/2 years ago was the first time I saw him in years.

When I started having these dreams, the dreams we mostly sexual. Like hot heavy kinky sexual stuff, but as the days, and months past, they became less sexual and more intimate.

In real life, I spoke to him on the phone (his cousin is my best friend) the weekend before last, and I told him I wanted to see him, he told me he missed me and wanted to see me too. I haven't be able to get a hold of him since.

Last night I dreamed that we saw each other (it felt very real to me, which a good portion of the others did not), we went to the movies, and cuddled, and I fell asleep in the cab on the way back to the house, when I woke up I was at his cousins house, and he had spent the night out in the trailer and his cousin turned to me and said "he's avoiding you because he loves you and he's scared" that's when i woke up.

Ah, what a crush. Distance from him has enabled you to make him in your imagination into something he probably is not, closer dealings with him would probably reveal the same kind of short comings evryone else more or less has.

Its a wonderful feeling, but don't expect it to be duplicated in real life otherwise you might be setting yourself up for disappointment.
