I know, TMI....but were all pregnant ladies or moms... so here goes...I'm 8 weeks pregnant tomorrow, & suffer form constipatin pretty often. I drink water with Benefiber powder mixed in every morning w/ my prenatal pill, and it has helped some i guess, but not as much as I'd like. Every time I strain w/ a hard bowel movement i spot a little of brown, and my doctor said this is pretty common, but it still worries. I've been drinking tons of water.... any advice?

  2. yes take MIRA LAX my mother took it and so do cancer patients because its so safe and gentle

  3. Yes it is perfectly fine to take a stool softener. They actually give them to you right after birth too. They work really well, they don't make you go but make it alot easier for you to go..

  4. The doctor gave me a list of meds that are okay to take when pregnant.  Under constipation it says You are allowed to take metamucil, surfak, colace, and fibercon as well as increasing fiber and fluids
