  1. They'll probably take some x-rays of your jaw to see how the teeth are sitting in your mouth.  Then the doctor will to a brief exam, just looking in your mouth, and explain the procedure to you so you'll know what to expect.  You can also decide at that time if you want novacaine or twilight sleep during the procedure.

  2. They will let you know if you HAVE to have it pulled.  I am in the military so it wasn't really a question for me it was more like you BETTER get them removed!  Trust me if they give you the option take it, I know two people who had infections and teeth being pushed all over the place.  I was starting to feel my teeth shifting and trust me that can ruin my parents thousand of dollars in braces.

I just had my last wisdom teeth pulled out today.  Pain is not that, it's not pleasant but with meds you will be fine.  My first two werent ready to come out so they cut into four pieces and pulled them out.  I am on Vicoden right now and I have to say it feels nice, lol.

Unfortunately for me the Air Force didn't offer me laughing gas they put four shots and pulled I felt nothing.  I mean nothing not even my mouth for like 6 hours

    Good luck
