Is it ok to consume whey on days

a)I abstain from workout entirely

b)I do only cardiovascular exercises but no weights?

Specifically, does whey consumption result in increased fat? I have protruding love handles and this bothers me,however I have a good body otherwise.

  1. yes its fine to have whey on non training days.

whey is protein and you need protein to repair muscle fibres that were torn. when your doing your cardio your not tearing fibres. you don't need protein.

you won't put on weight unless your whey is not just whey but one of those combinations like a hard gainer or something. if its just whey then your fine.

if your serious about the gym then whey on off training days is good. but thats if you've overloaded the previous day. if your weight trainign just on the side and are more concerned with weight loss then no don't take whey on your off days. it'll just be a waste. it'll get excreted.
