Question:

Contacet lenses.....what are the strengths of the eyes?

on the box for the left eye it say.....+0.25 -3.75x155

the right eye says..+0.25 -3.25x30

i am trying to buy some colorblends lenses from the internet but the strength ranges from +4 to -6 and i don't know which one is the right one for me....any help would be greatly appreciated :)

  1. You need to have a fitting at your opticians for colour contacts, not everyone can wear them. I guess your prescription is the second figure, but if you are unsure go and speak to the optician. They will give you all the right info.


  2. It's the second number you're trying to match with your 4 to 6 range.

    But this question is fit for your optometrist.  They are there to help - you need to get close on all three figures for each eye plus consider any astigmatism you may have,

  3. You are looking at the wrong part of the prescription.

    The + 4.00 to - 6.00 is in the SPH powers...

    All your power is in the CYLINDER part...you have a lot of astigmatism.

    You need TORIC lenses for astigmatism. Color lenses don't come with Rx's that high....unless they are custom made..and would be VERY expensive.

    Those would be special lenses you need in contacts. You have to be fitted by an optometrist or optician with lenses like that. You won't find those on any on-line site.
