I am new to Ebay but have already found out that their customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE! i recently spent $100 on a Walter Payton rookie card and the guy sent me this message after he received my money:
Jeff,
I don't quite know how to begin, but here goes anyway:
I share an office area with 16-18 other people. I left late Saturday night, having received your payment, and sat your card on my desk with another rookie card I sold yesterday.
No one was supposed to be in the office Sunday. But when I arrived this morning (Monday), someone had taken the Payton card from my desk. I have made calls, talked to people, e-mailed, and so far no one will talk. No one even knows who came in the office yesterday.
I know that there is nothing I can do to make things right. This is like a nightmare. I am extremely upset about it, and am still trying to find anything that will point me in the right way. We searched the office area and even other offices in the building for a couple of hours today.
Jeff, I don't know how to apologize, I know it's frustrating for you, even more than for me.
Would you be satisfied with a full refund plus $20? Let me know.
Sincerely,
Steven

Does this make sense to anyone? It sounds like a scam. he has yet to respond to my e-mail. i basically wrote back that he must return my money at once. what should i do? i contacted ebay via email and their live "Instant Message" feature but both only reiterated common sense and were of no help whatsoever and were, in fact, a complete waste of time. thanks for your help guys. I don't want this $100 getting added to my finance charge on my credit card.
