  1. if your doctor says it wont hurt your eyes i would trust him it then becomes a matter of if you can afford it and if your responsible enough to take care of them i have them they are easy to put in you will put it on your finger so that its like a bowl shape then put one hand on your eyelid and lift then with fingers off the other hand (the one the contacts on) pull down your eyelid and put in its easier then it sounds the dr will walk you through it theres diffrent kinds some you will throw out at night others you put into container and let them soak in solution you will have to decide with  your parents and dr what kind fit your price range and your need good luck

  2. I am not fifteen and i got contact lenses when i was 12.

I heard the same thing and i just ignored it.

Ever sense i have been wearing the contacts my  eyes get incresingly worse every year, adn then they just up your prescription.

Now, without them, i can barely see two feet in front of me.

Id suggest you wait untill your a little older, unless you really want them. Its not really a big deal for me becuase i only take then out when i go to bed.

If you dont want your eyes to get worse, then wait untill your 18, because you will be done growing, if you dont mind, good luck!

  3. its fine..i got mine when i was 13 too

  4. There's an industry-sponsored study that suggests children as young as 8 can wear contact lenses safely.

"Children as young as eight years old who need vision correction are as capable as teenagers at wearing and caring for soft contact lenses and should be presented with the option of contact lens wear when vision correction is required," says Jeffrey J. Walline, O.D., Ph.D., from the Ohio State University College of Optometry and study leader of The Contact Lens in Pediatrics (CLIP) Study. "This research demonstrates that both children and teens derive a number of quality of life benefits from contact lenses, which leads to greater satisfaction with their vision correction."

As long as they are fitted and prescribed by a doctor and you handle them carefully, you're old enough for contact lenses.

  5. Your doctor knows what he is talking about. But you just have to convince your parents if you're under 18, because no doctor will prescribe them without parental consent.

  6. Today just about everyone can wear contact lenses, and there are more healthful and convenient contact lens options than ever before. Contact lenses are used to correct the same conditions that eyeglasses correct. For all details,  information and remedies about contacts check out http://use-contactlens.blogspot.com/
