Contact Lense Wearers!?

Question

Have your eyes got worse since you began wearing your contacts? I hear your eyes can become dependant on them and it makes your eyes worse. I'm getting mine this Tuesday and I'm just curious because I don't want my eyes getting any worse than they are. Cheers ;)

I used to wear glasses and my eyes got worse, and when I switched to contacts they continued to get worse.  Yes, it is true that your eyes can become dependent on your lenses, but some people actually experience an improvement in their vision.  I wouldn't worry about your eyes getting any worse, because there are always stronger prescriptions or surgery, and it's not like contacts make your eyes worse than glasses do.

I've had contact lenses for a couple of years and my vision hasn't suffered at all. If it made your eyes worse the simple fact is opticians wouldn't let you have them

My eye doctor actually recommended contact lenses for me because my prescription kept changing. Contact lenses help support your natural lens into staying put so your sight doesn't get worse.

Your eyes can become dependent on glasses and contacts. Your eyes also change naturally. Either way, it's not going to make a difference whether you wear contacts or glasses.
