  1. The first thing you should do is have a comprehensive eye exam. contact exams usually cost more than a regular exam, and you will need one to make sure your lenses fit correctly. exams usually run about a hundred give or take, and depending on the perscription and what degree of astigmatism you have the lenses may  cost anywhhere from forty up. you should call your local eye care professional to price check, but you shouldn't wear anyone elses' lenses.

  2. i too have astigmatism in my left eye. I was able to get contacts. If you have really good vision insurance usually you will only pay like 30.00 max out of your pocket at least that is what i had to pay. I do believe that they told me that if you do not have insurance the boxes of contacts which is usually a six month supply would cost me around 100.00. I went to walmart vision center and they were able to get me my contacts in less then a week good luck to you!

  3. hey! i'm getting my contacts soon =]

anyway, i have a friend like you, she has astigmatism, and she is near-sighted, and she has contacts.

    1. the cost depends on how you want them. there's daily, every 2 weeks, monthly, or like 1/2 a year. it really depends.

    2. the best place to get them? i've heard 1800contacts is really good, and its pretty cheap. ask your optometrist! =]

  4. I have my exam at Sears and then I go to Lens.com.  I save myself about $90 compared to buying them from the Optometrist.  Sears will also price match (even though they don't like that huge difference).  I ended up paying about $190 for a years supply (disposable - throw out after two weeks) of Acuvue Oasys lenses.

  5. Best places to buy : 1800contacts, or a walmart supercenter.

From walmart they cost about 60$ for i think about a 2-3 month supply? Acuvue oasis is good for people with asigmatism as it is designed for that purpose, to help preserve moisture. :]
