Question:

Contact Lenses: Which ones?

Oh my.... I have been in a "trial" for contacts for 3 weeks now. I thought I was set on getting the PureVision, but, then I was given a trial pair of Acuvue Oasys. With the Oasys, I do not even feel them in my eyes. So, I had pretty much decided to order the Oasys. Now, my Doctor has also ordered a trial pair of the O2 Optix for me to try. After reading reviews, these are every bit as comfortable as the Oasys. However, they are much cheaper in price. Each one (Oasys and O2 Optix) are considered 1-2 week wear. My question is this..... I know for a fact that the Oasys last at least 2 weeks if not longer. Do you know if the O2 Optix lasts that long? Or will I be replacing them every week? Please, don't just tell me which one you like better, please back it up with facts.

  1. O2 optix and oasys the main differences is the company that produces the lenses. Both of them are silicone lenses. Both are great. Try the o2 optix.

  2. Both are two-week disposables.  If O2 Optix are comfortable and have a better price point, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to wear them (assuming your doctor has cleared them as well-fitting)

  3. I prefer Acuvue Oasys, I tried O2 Optix and they were ok for a while but they begain to feel scratchy after I wore them for a couple days (I had the 2 week disposable ones).
