Question:

Contact Lenses?

My father is 63 and would really like to wear contact lenses. He's had lenses in the past but given up and gone back to glasses.

Is he too old now? Does anyone know of any older people who wear contacts?

  1. There's no problem with that so long as he has the tears to support them and the dexterity to handle them.  I have patients in their eighties and one ninety year-old wearing them.

  2. Sure, I have a few patients in their late 60's and even one who is 75 who wear contacts.

As long as his eyes are healthy , age is no problem

  3. he's not too old....my mother who is in her 70s wears contacts and she's fine. sometimes she'll need her glasses but other than that she loves them
