Contact State Central Register Database?

We are adopting our nephews who have been in foster care and we are waiting for the clearance from the state. They submitted it back in August. We are in New York and it is in albany. I wanted to see if anyone knows how to contact them to check the status. Or if anyone has any experience with their clearance. The agency basically told us that they are the state and take time--which I understand but feel like it has been a long time!

It could take up 6-8 or even a year for you to see your nephews.  Unfortuantly you have to be cleared, the house, your backround checks and fingerprints all have to come back as on file and registered as adopting.  To make sure, now in NY I don't quite know how it works but, http://www.ocfs.state.ny.us/adopt/ they might!  I would contact them today and see if they can ease your worries and questions!  Good Luck and congrats on doing a great thing!
