If you want to contact a member do you ask them?

What is the process or steps in making that happen?

contacta fellow yahoo group member? contact in how? e-mail? in person? on the phone? some groups have rules about any such contact. there is no real process for this, contact them (happens all the time) and if they don't accept the contact, then don't contact them again.
