Do semi-hard lenses correct astigmatism better than soft lenses? Do soft lenses correct astigmatism 100%?

Or am I better off with semi-hard to see clearer? Also why do I see more glare with the soft lenses?

  1. No, soft lenses offers the better clearer image for toric lenses. Try out softlen toric. It is great

  2. Hi, a hard lens is more difficult to de sensitize to and wear comfortably. Soft lenses are more comfortable and with the correct f**t will correct you astigmatism 100%, the glare will be caused by the fact that the lens had a high moisture content and being outdoors will amplify this effect. Most contact lens wearers experience an increase in sensitivity to light regardless of hard or soft lenses, hard lenses are cushioned by your tears behind the lens so it has a similar effect. Most contact lens weares use sunglasses and the lighter your eyes the more sensitive to the light you will be. If it keeps on irritating you visit your optometrist.

  3. i use soft lenses and they correct my astigmatism pretty much 100%, but then i've never used semi-hard and i don't know anyone who has, so i can't really compare the two. but i have veeeeery bad eyesight, so the fact that they work for me is probably saying something, haha.

and again, i've never worn semi-hard, but i do see a LOT of glare when i wear my soft ones. so i'm not sure why they glare, but i guess it's still normal. maybe just mention it to your optomitrist next time you see them. hope that helps :)
