Contact lens and beach?

Question

I wear contact lens. But when I go to the beach, I can't go down to the water. Goggle is too ugly.

Is there a way?

I wear contacts and I get in the water with them. But I only go underwater with goggles. I usually try to get some cute ones and I wear them on my head when im not under water. Thats the only way, or you can just be blind at the beach and not be able to see anything.

Ive never gotten sand under my contacts. But bring your solution and glasses just in case.

It depends upon how bad your vision is without the contacts.  I take my contacts out before heading down to the beach because I don't want to get the sand in them if I take them off there.  While I can't drive without them, I can play in the water, enjoy the sun and chase my kids without my contacts in.  

If I'm going snorkeling, then I leave the contacts in because I have the mask on to protect the eyes.

If your vision is really bad without the contacts, I would think glasses would be your next option since they are a quick on/off as needed.  I understand they are not the best option, but it's better than being blind or losing your contacts in the ocean.

Me personaly would not prefer you wearing contacts while in water because anything could happen that you just cant control like one of them contacts just go in your eye and get stuck and in order for docters to get the contact out they would have to do something drastic and to be on the safe side i would just go with the goggles and some goggles are not that bad looking by the way but there might be somethung that you could get goggles prescribed if your vision is that bad and i fit is let me know about it

I agree. Chance of sand is too great. I wore my glasses the first time to the beach.
