Question:

Contact lens fell out of eye?

I just got them today. My eye started to water and I felt it started to slip. Unfortunately, it slipped and I ended up stepping on it splitting it in two (soft lens). Is there anything I can do to keep them in my eye or is this just a something I have to always be aware of as a contact wearer.

  1. Hard lenses do tend to pop out, but if you are wearing soft lense it should not do that, they seem to stay on your eye like a suction cup but yet move freely. (hard do move freely too but they do pop out I think b/c they are a bit stiff).

  2. I agree with the others.  Soft lenses should not just fall out.  If you are not rubbing at them or putting them in inside out (like the last post suggested) and they fall out often, see your optometrist again.  They may not be fitting on your eye correctly.  Since you just got them today, keep trying with them for a few more days.  If you still have this problem, go back to the doctor.

  3. You should go get refitted for your contacts. Their shape may be incorrect for the curve of your eye and therefore will fall off.

  4. my doctor said the contact should be like a magnet to your eye. is it falls out, you are either A. itching your eye hard and knocking them lose or B. putting them in wrong.

  5. they should be like a suction cup on your eye. I dont think they should fall out if your eye started to water, maybe move a little but not fall out. mine never did that

  6. hi! i just got mine last june 6! hahah! i love them so much!

well personally, my contacts at first fall out because they are inside out. that means they are improperly fitted. improperly 'cupping' or concave or whatever you want to call it;).

remember that you reeally need to have an eagle-keen eyes to determine the right side of soft contact lenses. observe both sides. assume that they are both perfect bowl. but, determine which side has the edges that curves 'inside' the most(they should not turn outside.........).

also, when you have the wrong side, you would not be able to see so clearly, believe me evrything would have halos or auras! hahah!

but if you believe, disregarding the said facts, that no matter how correct the sides of your contact lenses are(if they still fall out), id recommend you to get a new fit of contacts.....

    hey, congrats btw!

    good day!
