So I have a pair of colored contact lenses that I haven't worn in 6 months. They are still in the lens case with the solution. Should I just throw them out?

  1. They should be fine. Just check the expiration date, just to make sure.

  2. Contact lenses mean you shouldn't wear them for longer than a month, or however long the prescription is. If they have been in the solution for 6 months without being worn for a month all together. They are fine.

Contacts sit in the shelf for several years, and they still don't go bad. It's the lenght of wear that matters, not length since they were made. Hope that helps. =]

  3. They are perfectly fine! I did the same thing and I wore them for like 3 months after!!

  4. I think they'll be fine. Are they disposable contacts? If so then they might not be as strong as new contacts but still perfectly usable. That's a really good question.

    Good Luck!

  5. no, dont do that they are fine, it actually depends on when they expire
