I started wearing contact lens around last November and have been very pleased with them. However recently my lenses tend to become irritant and blurred a few times a week and I was wondering if anybody knows what could be causing this. I have a fairly high prescription at around- SPH +6.50 CYL +150 AXIS 20 in my right eye and in my left eye SPH +6.00 CYL +175 AXIS 170 and am long sighted. Could anyone perhaps even suggest the most suitable type of lens for my prescription and where to get them.

  1. It's summer, you're outdoors more, there's a lot more c**p in the air - dust, pollens, etc. Your eyes are probably drier.  Such is a side affect of contacts.

Try using a lens lubricant throughout the day.

  2. i wear contact lens too..

but my vision got blur when i wear it for a long time = more than 8 hours cuz i wear it everyday to school.

solutions for that is , dun wear it for a long time..

  3. You should use diposable contacts...the one's you throw away every 2 weeks to a month...that way, you have fresh ones all the time.  Works for me...try Bausch & Lomb Pure Vision.

  4. it could be maybe u r alergic to ur contact solution ??

  5. If you have soft C.L., this could be from protein deposits on the surface, one of the many reasons that you should change them on the recommended replacement schedule.

If you are regularly replacing the lenses and still having problems with blur it could be many things but likely an allergy.  There are several different ophthalmic drops (anti-histamine/Mast cell stabilizers)  that you can get a prescription for from an eye care professional that can relieve these symptoms if they believe it is allergies.

  6. If you have monthly lenses, then you could see if you can change your solution (go back to your opticion for this). I had the same trouble, but i am short sighted. I changed from the monthlys to the daileys, which worked a treat. After a couple months of using them my eyes flaired up so i changed lenses again, and tried a different make, which has so far worked. If you go back to where you got your contacts from, they should change your lenses for another make and give you a 5day trial with them.

  7. make sure to keep rewetting drops with you. I use to always have this problem before I got Lasik. Just add a drop or two and you should be good!  If the problem keeps happening, ask your doctor to change your lenses.
