Whenever I try to inser them, my eye blinks and they fall. I'm 14 and I really need to insert them before school starts [ September 10 ] because I need them for school. Any ideas on how to insert them without my eye blinking or an easier way? Thanks

  1. Well you either go to your contact lens practitioner or try this- Stand in front of a mirror and with your left hand index finger pull the  lower eyelid downwards and stare straight ahead then insert the lens with it being on the  tip of the  index finger of the  right  hand  and press it real gently but firmly on to the colored part of the eye and still do not blink hard just gently close your eye and  slowly open  them- a little practice will get you thru-Wet the lens in lens solution before you inset it it has to have some moisture on it-

Good luck and have patience you wil get the  hang of it

  2. I had the exact same problem. The trick is not to look at the contact when you put it in your eye. Stare past it, or choose a spot in the mirror to focus your eye on. It will also help if you hold up your upper lid and push down your lower lid with the hand that is not putting the contact in. Just concentrate on not blinking for a couple of seconds. If you see the contact kind of floating on the surface of your eye just use your finger to kind of push it around and then back into place.

I find that before I put the contact in I like to put a few drops of solution into the "bowl part" of the contact. It helps it glide on easier and it makes it less irritating.

REMEMBER: dont blink for a couple of seconds when you put them in, hold your eyelids apart when you are ijnserting them, and put the drops of solution into the "bowl part."

I HOPE THIS HELPS!!! Good luck and dont worry, you will soon get used to putting your contacts in!!! :)

  3. Try to like stare down the mirror and pretend that your finger is not coming towards ur eye to help you not blink. thats what i had to do to get use to it

  4. I had the same problem.  You have to be patient with them.  I hold open my eyelids and put the contact in.  You want to make sure that the contact kinda suction cups to you eye and then blink and it should stay in.  Your eye will get used to getting something put on it so it will get easier as you go along.

  5. I personally had this problem.  I originally had hard contacts and they were a pain to put in.  Later on I got soft contacts and they are incredibly easy to insert.

I think simply telling yourself that nothing bad will happen if you touch your eye will go a long way.  I used to be afraid of scratching my eye or doing something worse.

Don't be afraid, you can do it :)

  6. Lean Back.

Roll your eye up, and stick them in..

How much did your contacts and contact fitting cost??
