Contact lenses? Can we safely reuse those daily disposable contact lenses?

I wear contacts once or twice a week. I recently purchased a box of 1 day acuvue lenses. After wearing a pair for five hours, I take them off and, since they don't look cracked or torn I wonder why I can't just store them in a sterile solution and wear them again a couple of days later. What will happen if I do that?

I wear dailies and reuse them for up to two weeks.  I've been doing this for almost 5 years with no problems

This is simply not true.  I tried to wear the Acuvue 2 week lenses and could not tolerate them.  When my Doctor gave me some Acuvue 1 day "Moist" lenses the difference was literally night and day.  There is no way they are the same lenses!
