Left Eye: sphere -1.00; cylinder -0.50; axis 180

Thanks for any help.

  1. You cannot get contact lenses from a glasses prescription in the USA, it is illegal.  You must have a separate prescription.  Internet sellers are required to check your prescription with the doctor who prescribed them.  Additionally, you'd need to have the base curve and diameter measurements in order to get the correct size.  I live in an area with lots of military and I provide a contact lens fitting service for a nominal fee since the military does not provide it.   Call around and see if someone in your area does this as well.

  2. You can't convert the glasses Rx to a contact lens one. However, if you have boxes of what you are currently wearing, and your prescription is still valid, you can just grab the numbers off of the box. Just make sure that you order the same brand that you are prescribed. You can order them online and just put in your eye doc's info from back home. I've ordered my contacts from Coastal Contacts and i've been happy with them so far.
