Contact lenses on a long bus trip?

Alcon has a travel opti-free kit. Try using that. I don't  see any problems wearing your contacts, just clean or rinse them if you need to. Alcon also has rewetting drops you can put in your eyes with your contacts still in.

I don't see why this could be a problem.  Just keep your solution/case/back up glasses with you in case they get uncomfortable. But if you are already wearing them for 12 hours or more, then being on a bus won't be any different.
