  1. Your mom is the boss, but I still disagree with her.  At 15, you're old enough to put them in.  Now as far as mature enough to take care of them and yourself, only your mom knows that.  You have to take care of them, so try to convince your mom that you will.  Glasses are easier to use, and they're cheaper.  Contacts are more comfortable for some, but not for some others.  It's all up to the wearer.

  2. Contact lenses look better, feel better and the ability to wash your face without taking glasses off first is amazingly underrated. They're obviously more expensive in the long-term though.

At 15, save up some money and go to an opticians. Although, yeah, she's your legal guardian for a while yet, if you organise it yourself, that's proof in itself that you're 'mature enough'.

  3. 1. Glasses are easier to use, just put them on. Contacts, you have to worry about putting them in, taking them out, cleaning them, eye drops, and eye infections.

    2. I have a lot of eye problems and glasses cost me almost $1000 a year or two, but contacts cost me $3000 a year. Glasses will always end up being cheaper I think.

    3. My brother has worn contacts since he was your age, I can't even tell you how many times he's dealt with eye infections especially early on when he didn't care to follow directions. If you get an eye infection you can't even wear contacts until it heals up. Contacts also dry out your eyes and can be uncomfortable. If you have astigmatism finding a kind that fits without constantly going out of focus can be a real pain. (That's why mine would cost so much, I can't get the cheap ones(acuvue) because they keep going out of focus.)

If you find a pair of frames that fit properly and are a good shape and color for your face, they look can look cute, good or even s**y depending on the style.

The only time I wish I had contacts is when I feel the need to wear makeup, as it stands I can't wear mascara because my lashes are long enough they are constantly against my lenses. But for the most part I'm much happier with glasses.
