Contacting 911 online.

Question

Is there a way to contact 911 online? I mean, if there's someone in the house and I'm stuck in my bedroom, they only way of contact I have is on my laptop.

I want to be safe. [:

I tried 911.com, but I don't think that sends immediate help.

I have heard that a lot people have a safe place to go (a place where you can lock the door from the inside and then have a spare phone (maybe

an emegercy cellphone (kept in the charger)

most cell phones call 911 even with out   cellphone acccount)

I never heard of anybody ever doing that.  Just get you a cell phone or regular phone that you can bring into your bedroom.  I think that is the only way.

Its great you are aware, and you want to feel safe at all times.  I'm not sure that's possible in this world now days.  Be responsible and keep your cell phone charged and with you.  It doesn't take long to charge a cell phone.  Charge it while you're having dinner with the family, or whatever works best for your schedule.  By having it charged, and with you, should make you feel safer.  Also, be sure your cell phone's settings are set so if you do call 911, they will be able to tell where the call is coming from.  Good luck and always be aware of your surroundings.

If you want to be safe, then keep a cell phone with you at all times. Its that simple. And ive never heard of someone contacting the cops online in an emergency situation.

I understand you want to be safe.. but you can't be safe all the time. I mean what happens if you are in your bathroom? Or in your car?
