  1. no - it doesn't hurt - in fact you hardly notice them once you get used to it.

most people that have them wear them everyday- it really depends on your particular needs.

EDIT: re: using 1 pair over again - it just depends on what kind you get. There are disposable that you use once and there are kinds that you just get one pair and use them all the time - that is a question for the doctor - they will tell you what kind is best for you.

  2. no it doesn't hurt at all! depending on which type you use, you can throw them out daily or after a week. go to basch & lomb's website and they have good info there

  3. I just got new contacts a few weeks ago.  It takes a little bit to get used to, but they're great.  Can use sunglasses, and look like a normal person.

  4. no therre amazing. get dailiesss!

  5. It does not hurt..just be gentle don't poke your eye. The contact should slide right onto your eye, when you hover it over it close enough to your eye.

Sometimes it can be discomforting when you put it on the wrong way, you will be able to tell right away.

Also make sure they are always cleaned properly and are free of any debris when going into your eye or it will be discomforting.

You should only wear contacts for 8 hrs or less. So your eyes wont dry out and feel uncomfortable.  Eyes need oxygen.

If you have glasses then try to wear your contacts less. If you can wear them only 3 times a week. But if you want you can wear them everyday.

Colored contacts are not as comfortable as clear because they don't allow as much oxygen in and make your eyes feel dryer faster. Making your vision appear more blurry over time.

Proclear is a really good contact brand. If you accidently fall asleep with them on, its fine it wont irritate your eyes. They are very light weight and comfortable.

Using a good solution is important. Some very good cleaning solutions take 6 hrs to clean the contact. But they do a very good job. Removing all the protein build up. And if you get careless or lazy sometimes like me...and don't rub your contacts clean all the time you should use a brand like clear care. You don't have to anything just leave them in the special case over 6hrs. Ask your eye fitter about proclear and clear care.

If you want amazing natural looking color then get Solotica! they are the best for that. But are an annually contact.

If you want comfort and less dryness over time then go with colorless contacts. The better brands are Proclear and Acuvue

  6. you'll get used to it

  7. No..it does not hurt.  After a few hours, you cant even feel them.  I wear extended wear disposables and put in a new pair every 2 weeks.
