  1. Ive been using contacts for about less than a year now.If your going to use soft contacts, you are lucky.Because I use Gas Preamable contacts and they hurt like h**l.If it moves somewhere else on your eye, just drag it back on to your pupil.I know it sounds weird, but hey you gotta do it.When your putting in the contact, make sure your eye is really open. When you get it on,blink a few times.

Youtube how to put on contacts and how to take them off too.

Oh and I have to warn you.You have to make sure your fingers and contact are always clean or you will get your eye irritated. My eyes were irritated and wasnt able to wear  contacts for 4 weeks.Dont wear them too long, only what your doctor tells you to.You have to be careful too when you take them out,you can scratch your eyes really easily thats why they tell you to keep your nails short.Oh and another thing, you might want to carry around the contact carrier, and some solution around with you because they could be bothering you or they can come out and you might not find it.Also,if your contacts dry when you wear them, you should buy some aquify contact drops. They work great.Wish you the best of luck.Oh and I found a good video to show you contacts arent that bad for some people..

  2. At first, contacts can feel a little irritating. After you've had them on for a few days, your eyes begin to get accustomed to the contacts. The contacts generally move with your eyes, they do not move elsewhere unless you physically move them with your finger or something comes in contact with them. Don't worry, in time you won't even feel them.

  3. The optical place you'll be getting your contacts from should sit you down and show you exactly what to do and what not to do.  But here are some helpful tips, as I've worn contacts for  16 years...

When you get them, you'll probably wear them for 3-4 hrs your first day, 6 hrs the next, 8 hrs, the next and so on.  You'll get used to them pretty fast if you'll be using them every day.

Before you put them in, make sure your contact is wet w/ solution, and is sitting on your DRY index finger.  The contact will always stick to the wetter surface. So if you're finding it always sticking to your finger and not gonig into your eye, make sure you're finger is dry.

Clean them every day, before putting them in.  Don't swim w/ them in, and never clean them in water (if they are soft contacts).  It will ruin them.

It's not a good idea to shower w/ them in either, as they can be washed out of your eye down the drain.

I started in hard contacts and so it takes a while to get used to them.  I switched to soft and found they are more comfortable but made my prescription worse.

You might want to practice just touching the white part of your eye before you go try your contacts.  Believe it or not this can be the most difficult part for some ppl.  Get comfortable with pulling back your lashes and touching your eye.

You're eyes will get irritated and red from putting them in the first few times.  This is normal.

Hopefully these tips will help you.  but you hands on experience will be the best for you - good luck :)
