  1. yea... 1st pair was.

um... i think it cost 80... but that included the followup, and changes and stuff.

it doesn't say on the walmart website cause it changes from optomestrist to optomitrist (sp)....

  2. I got my contacts from Wal-mart several months ago, and am very satisfied with the experience.  Actually, I just paid for the exam, the fitting fee, and 2 boxes of contacts.  Just the exam and the fitting shouldn't cost over $100, if I remember it correctly.  If you want to order the contacts in bulk, though, you should consider 1800contacts.com.  It's a little cheaper to get contacts that way.

So, in summary, Wal-mart is probably the most economical place to get contacts fitted.  I wish I had the receipt from the visit to be sure how much it really cost, but the whole thing, excluding the contacts, is probably less than $100.

  3. hey!

well, i'm getting contacts tomorrow, but i don't go to walmart as my optometrists. i go to a clinic and stuff

okay, anyway, one of my friends got her contacts there, and she said it was $99.

and, a contact lense fitting is a regular eye exam, ask you if there's any problems w/ your eyes, they also measure the curvature of your eyes, teach you how to put in/take out contacts, clean and take care of them properly, and usually send you off w/a trial pair. [if you get the trial pair, then you come back one week later, they check your eyes, and give you the prescription]
