Contacts lenses in the POOL?

is it safe to wear contact lenses in the chlorinated water?

Well as long as you dont open your eyes under water or get any of the water in your eyes your fine lol

i where mine in the pool ALL the time nothing happens

i did open my eyes once not meaning to and well i closed them right away and it was fine but i would not try to open your eyes under wter

no, not recommended. But can try dailies lenses. throw them away after using it in the pool.

No you shouldn't wear your contacts in the pool...

-they can get flushed out of your eyes

-The pool chemicals getting into your contacts could damage your contacts and irritate or harm your eyes.

Also, pool water has a bacteria called ACANTHAMOEBA!!!

Water is known to contain an ameba called Acanthamoeba. If this microbe attaches itself to your contact lens it can cause a very bad infection called Acanthamoeba keratitis. BUT, i tried it once and nothing happened, so maybe i was lucky, idk

It's not advisable, but I don't usually have a huge problem with it.  It does tend to dry out your eyes, so if you do wear them in the pool, and get water in your eyes, its probably a good idea to have some contact drops and solution so that you can rinse them off.  Other than the dryness, there's always a possiblity of the loosing the contacts in the pool, but I've never had that problem

Definitely not especially if you wear Hydrogel lenses. They will turn to jelly in chlorine. Also they can get washed out. Wear goggles or dont go underwater and dont let any one splash you with water.

well, ive swam before with my contact lenses on and they dont really bother me actually. i guess my only suggestion would be not to keep your eyes open in the water for too long cuz they may slip out-its possible but it didnt happen to me
